Magsaysay Maritime Corporation (MMC) was one of three sea-based and 19 land-based manpower agencies that participated in the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW)’s Mega Job Fair on May 1 at Robinsons Galleria Ortigas, Quezon City.
With the theme, “Sa Bagong Pilipinas: Manggagawang Pilipino, Kabalikat at Kasama sa Pag-asenso,” the 122nd Labor Day celebration offered over 7,800 jobs for Filipinos. The Mega Job Fair also served as a one-stop shop for job seekers with satellite offices set up for the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Pag-IBIG Fund, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
MMC gathered 135 sea-based applicants, 15 of whom passed the initial screening and proceeded to fleet interview. The applicants registered on the official job portal of MAGSAYSAY: magsaysaycareers.com. The platform provides easy and convenient application, where one can track his/her own application journey and status without the need of physically reporting to MAGSAYSAY offices.
