The Crew Conference and Appreciation Day 2025 of MV Lorcon General Santos and MV General Evangelista was successfully held on October 10–11, 2025, at Villa Carmen, Mariveles, Bataan.
Facilitated by Lorenzo Shipping Corporation (LSC), NMC Container Lines, Inc. (NMCCLI), and Magsaysay Shipmanagement Inc. (MSI), the event brought together officers and crew members for two days of reflection, fellowship, and fun.
At the heart of the conference was one key message: the importance of building a strong safety culture anchored on responsibility, awareness, and Magsaysay’s core value of We Care.
“Let’s continue to make safety a daily habit, not because we are required to, but because our lives, our ship, and our families depend on it,” Magsaysay Shipping & Logistics (MSL) Liner Division Head Reynold John B. Madamba reminded participants.
Officers and crew members were also encouraged to look out for one another and to speak up when something doesn’t feel right. “It’s about doing the right thing even when no one is watching,” shared by MSI Head Maximillan M. Orille. “It’s about speaking up when you see something unsafe, checking your equipment before use, and reminding your crewmates to follow procedures. These small actions make a big difference.”
The appreciation day gave everyone a chance to relax, have fun, and strengthen the friendships that make every vessel feel like family at sea.
