In a vibrant celebration to honor the rich heritage of the maritime sector and its stakeholders, Magsaysay Maritime Corporation (MMC) through the Crew Family and Engagement (CFE) team opened the MAGSAYSAY headquarters for a weeklong celebration at the Atrium from September 23 to 27.
The activities kicked off on a high note with a mental health talk conducted by Sailor Society’s Chaplain Nick Tuban. Satellite booths from financial institutions and government agencies were also invited and provided services to the Magsaysay crew and Magsaysay People (MPs).
In a bid to champion healthier living, one of the event partners, Philip Morris, unveiled an innovative no-smoke, no-ash heated tobacco product. The alternative to traditional smoking devices is designed to pave the way for a better lifestyle, encouraging everyone to embrace a smoke-free future.
On the other hand, MMC Davao in collaboration with the Davao City Health Center, offered free RBS, uric acid, cholesterol, and hemoglobin tests for crew members and their families.
MMC Iloilo, meanwhile, participated in the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Regional Office VI celebration and received a plaque of recognition for its efforts in promoting the welfare of Filipino seafarers in the region.
The weeklong Maritime Week celebration is one of the many ways MAGSAYSAY recognizes the contribution of our seafarers in flourishing maritime sector.
