On March 1, 2026, Magsaysay Training Center (MTC) celebrated the completion ceremony of the first cohort of its Cruise Industry and Career Training (CICT) program during a graduation ceremony held at Solaire Resort in Parañaque City. A total of 31 trainees completed the 17-day program, marking a significant milestone in MTC’s efforts to prepare Filipinos for opportunities in the global cruise industry.
Conducted from February 13 to March 1, the CICT provided participants with foundational knowledge and practical skills and competencies essential for cruise and hospitality careers. The graduates included 25 students from Isabela State University–Echague Campus and six walk-in participants.
A key highlight of the program was a one-day immersive familiarization at Solaire Resort, were trainees experienced hotel operations and service standards firsthand, preparing them for the high expectations of the international cruise industry.
The initiative reflects MTC’s continued efforts to strengthen industry-ready training programs and open more pathways for Filipinos aiming to build careers in the global cruise.
