Twenty-five (25) million hours of our people’s safety, 25 million hours of our people’s diligence, hard work, and care.
Magsaysay Shipping and Logistics’ (MSL) Tankers Division proudly achieved a big step, 25 million man-hours with Zero Lost Time Injury (LTI) for the combined fleet of Islas Tankers Seatransport Corporation (ITSC), Batangas Bay Carriers, Inc. (BBCI), and Marine Fuels Philippines, Inc. (MFPI) covering the period of October 2014 to March 2025. This is the highest record ever achieved since the Zero LTI Objective was first set for the tanker and barge fleet.
Leading to this success is the support and commitment to provide a safer workplace on board while continuing to deliver quality service to its Charterers. It reflects the commitment, awareness, and unity of Tanker Fleet crew members and Shore teams with the constant support of Magsaysay Shipmanagement, Inc. (MSI).
Management and the Board of Directors have also been significant in this success, as consistently supporting the Goal Zero Program and strengthening the shared responsibility of keeping the workplace free from incident.
This achievement is more than just a number. Being stronger together represents the lives protected, families safeguarded, and a culture that continues to grow stronger within the fleet. By living out the principles of the Magsaysay Safety Culture, MSL shows that safety is possible when we all share the responsibility.
As the Tankers Division and MSI come together to appreciate this win, the team also look forward to the next goal set, Onwards to 30 Million Man-Hours Zero LTI.
For every family, colleague, and partner who puts their trust in our commitment to safety, this victory is not just for the crew, but for everyone. Congratulations to the whole team for making this possible!
