Magsaysay Maritime Corporation (MMC) and Homer Foundation, Inc. (HFI) formally turned over a newly constructed classroom to Panglao Central East Elementary School (PCEES) on October 5, 2025, in a ceremony marked by the blessing and inauguration of the new learning facility.

The event symbolizes the organizations’ enduring commitment to education and community development. The new classroom, dedicated to Grade 4 students, aims to provide a conducive and inspiring learning environment for young learners in Panglao.

MMC Executive Chairman and HFI President Mr. Marlon Roño expressed his fulfillment in supporting the school’s educational mission. “The classroom is more than just a structure—it is a gift of learning to the young generations of Panglao, Bohol,” Mr. Roño said. “This is just the beginning of more collaboration among the private sector, educational institutions, and local government. We hope to have more opportunities to build and shape the future of our children.”

Representatives from the Local Government Unit (LGU) and PCEES extended their gratitude for the initiative, highlighting its positive impact on the community. Grade 4 students, the direct beneficiaries of the project, offered a heartfelt song of appreciation to Magsaysay, the school, and the LGU.

This initiative underscores Magsaysay’s enduring mission to enrich lives through education, training, and development, empowering communities and shaping a brighter future for Filipino learners.
