Magsaysay People Resources Corporation (MPRC) training and development centers — Magsaysay Institute of Shipping (MIS) and Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MIHCA) — received accreditation for 20 new training and assessment programs through TESDA and were awarded at the MIS Campus in Dasmariñas, Cavite.
The certificates confirm official TESDA accreditation, signifying that the programs meet national competency and facility standards and that the centers are authorized to `operate and issue TESDA-accredited certifications. The recognition underscores MIS and MIHCA’s commitment to delivering high-quality education and training in preparing Filipino workers with future-ready skills.
TESDA Director General Hon. Jose “Kiko” Benitez awarded the certificates to Magsaysay Group President and CEO Doris Magsaysay Ho, MPRC President Marlon Roño, Magsaysay Learning Resources, Inc. (MLRI) President and MIS Director Alex Enriquez, and MIHCA President Paolo Guevara. He was joined by TESDA’s Deputy Director General Vidal Villanueva III, Regional Director Archie A. Grande, and Provincial Director Gerardo R. Marasigan.
“Through our partnership with Magsaysay, we can address the needs of our population, of our workforce, better than we have in the past, moving forward as we try to complete the multiple pathways, the multiple exits and entries into the formal education system. And it is with, I think, deep respect and honor and appreciation from TESDA to know that a partner like Magsaysay, dedicated, in fact, to excellence and not cutting corners, will be a partner that we can collaborate with for the long term.” TESDA Secretary Kiko Benitez shared during his keynote address.
“Our goal is to become a center of excellence for skills development and trades, and a desire to make young men and women to be job-ready in every step of their career. We are grateful to TESDA for this recognition and partnership, and we are looking forward to a very close cooperation and relationship to continue pursuing the needed innovation to achieve our goals,” said MPRC President Marlon Roño.
