MIHCA and Middleby Join Forces to Support WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025

Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MIHCA), in partnership with Middleby, extended essential support to the WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025 competition held last August 26–28, 2025.

Middleby supplied the full setup and equipment for the cooking and baking skills categories, while MIHCA reinforced the effort by contributing additional tools and sous vide machines to further complete the facilities used during the event.

This collaboration began during the Philippine National Skills Competition last year, where the top performers earned the opportunity to represent the Philippines in WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025.

MIHCA President Chef Paolo Guevara also shared his expertise by serving as one of the judges in the cooking category.

Through the joint support of MIHCA and Middleby, WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025 was equipped to the highest standards. The collaboration showed how industry and academic partnerships can deliver successful international competitions and strengthen the hospitality and culinary sector.
