MIHCA Alumni Lead “Wangis” 5-Course Luncheon at Illumine

Graduates of Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MIHCA) – Manila showcased their skills at the “Wangis” 5-course tasting menu luncheon on March 16, 2026, at Illumine Restaurant. The event brought together MIHCA alumni who are now making their mark in top kitchens across the country including Bombvinos, Gallery by Chele, and Seva.

The MIHCA Team, who are also alumni now working at Illumine — led the kitchen, working side by side with the graduates to bring the 5-course menu to life. The luncheon was attended by Magsaysay top executives and representatives from Princess Cruises.

“Wangis,” meaning “resemblance” in Filipino, is a celebration of reflection, growth, and legacy. The event highlighted how MIHCA alumni continue to shape the country’s culinary scene, turning their training into real impact in top kitchens. It mirrors the journey of these alumni, from their foundational training at MIHCA to honing their craft through experience in Michelin-recognized and awarded restaurants. Each plate served was a testament to their talent, skill, and the lasting influence of MIHCA on the culinary industry.
