MAGSAYSAY Shares Best Practices at PBCWE’s Learning Session

Magsaysay Group President and CEO Doris Ho, together with Magsaysay People Resources (MPRC) and Magsaysay Shipping and Logistics (MSL) HR Teams, attended the Philippine Business Coalition for Women Empowerment’s (PBCWE) annual general membership meeting on June 21 at the Enderun Colleges in Taguig City. DHo is presently the Chair of the Membership Committee.

Themed #EmpoweringBusinesses: Gender Equality and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace, the highlight of the event is the Gender Working Group (GWG) Learning Session where participants shared, learned, fostered, and promoted partnerships and collaboration towards building inclusive workplaces. The session served as a platform in raising awareness on workplace gender equality (WGE), women’s economic empowerment (WEE), diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), as well as exchange of knowledge on PBCWE’s two new focus areas— accessibility and reasonable accommodation for persons with disabilities and LGBT inclusion at work.

After the GWG, PBCWE proceeded with the annual GMM where updates on the organization’s growth and progress, new programs, and accomplishments were presented.

Armed with new knowledge on gender equality and diversity, MAGSAYSAY’s DEI champions are inspired and motivated to continue MAGSAYSAY’s endeavor to make our company a great place to work. MAGSAYSAY and PBCWE will be partnering up this 2023 to conduct the Gender Equality Assessment, Results and Strategies (GEARS) with focus areas on strategic alignment, leadership, pay equity, workforce composition, and professional development.
