Magsaysay Global Services joined the Trade Mission in Austria from March 9 to 15. The meeting was organized by the Philippine Association of Service Exporters, Inc. (PASEI) in cooperation with Advantage Austria.
PASEI is among the Philippines’ leading and largest associations of overseas recruitment agencies with over 300-member Department of Migrant Workers-licensed (DMW) agencies. On the other hand, Advantage Austria, Austria’s trade promotion organization and member of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (Wirtschaftskammer Österreich – WKÖ), provides a wide range of intelligence and business development services for both Austrian companies and international business partners. They have around 100 offices in over 70 countries.
MAGSAYSAY leaders’ courtesy call to the Philippine Embassy in Vienna was welcomed by Her Excellency Ambassador Evangelina Lourdes Arroyo-Bernas. They also met the staff of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labor and Economy (BMAW) and visited the nursing care homes where they were introduced to the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) – Austria President Virgina Radl. Further empowering MAGSAYSAY’s business drives, they met with other economic players in Austria, including Salzburg Economic Chamber and various Austrian companies.
PASEI’s Chairman of the Board, Marlon Roño, took the opportunity to personally thank the Austrian government representatives for allowing Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to be introduced into the Austrian labor market. MAGSAYSAY and PASEI look forward to a stronger partnership between the Philippines and Austria.
