In celebration of the 24th National Maritime Week from September 24 to 30, Magsaysay Maritime Corporation (MMC) participated in the week-long celebration of the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA).
MMC Iloilo joined the Walk for a Cause held on September 25, while MMC Davao and MMC Cebu gave away MAGSAYSAY-branded tote bags and umbrellas. They also got to be part of the webinar on ambulance chasing, the act of encouraging seafarers to seek monetary damages against their employers as compensation for work-related injuries. The webinar was organized by MMC Manila in partnership with Del Rosario Law Office, a partner.
The MMC Crew and Family Engagement department, meanwhile, organized two webinars to equip our Filipino seafarers on Intellectual Wellness Webinar (Savings and Budgeting Tips for the Family) and Emotional-Social Wellness Webinar (Importance of Active Listening and Stress Management).
MMC Manila prepared daily activities at the Atrium of MAGSAYSAY Building. Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MIHCA), Magsaysay Training Center, Peoplelink, MagCOOP, and Pag-IBIG also joined in the week-long celebration.
