Magsaysay Learning Resources, Inc. (MLRI) has expanded its maritime training offerings with the introduction of the Basic Training for Liquefied Gas Tanker Cargo Operations (BTLGT) course following its approval by the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA).
The course is designed to equip seafarers with the fundamental knowledge, skills, and competencies required for liquefied gas tanker cargo operations, in accordance with the training requirements of the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) Code and international maritime industry standards.
The BTLGT course approval is valid from October 6, 2026, to October 6, 2036. Through this new program, MLRI continues to strengthen its maritime training portfolio and support the professional development of Filipino seafarers preparing for specialized shipboard roles.
MLRI is now accepting enrollees for the following BTLGT course schedules:
- November 9–13, 2026
- November 23–27, 2026
- December 7 and 9–12, 2026
