CAVITE, Philippines – Magsaysay Learning Group, led by Magsaysay People Resources Corporation (MPRC) President Marlon R. Roño, welcomed a high-level delegation from the Republic of Lithuania, together with representatives from the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), to its training facilities in Dasmariñas, Cavite (Magsaysay Institute of Shipping) on July 25, highlighting the growing partnership in developing globally competitive Filipino skilled workers.
The visit brought together government leaders, Magsaysay Global Services, Inc.’s Lithuanian partners RNDV Holding and INTORA, and Magsaysay executives to exchange insights on workforce development and gain a firsthand look at how Filipino skilled workers are trained, upskilled, and equipped with industry-relevant competencies.
The Lithuanian delegation was headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania His Excellency Kęstutis Budrys, while the DMW delegation was represented by Undersecretary for Foreign Employment and Welfare Services Felicitas Q. Bay. Joining them were officials from TESDA Region IV-A, led by Regional Director Engr. Jovencio M. Ferrer Jr.
Showcasing a Complete Workforce Development Ecosystem
During the visit, Magsaysay, RNDV Holding, INTORA, and TESDA shared how their respective organizations contribute to workforce development through industry collaboration, technical training, and competency-based education.
Together, these efforts demonstrate how government, industry, and training institutions play complementary roles in preparing skilled Filipino workers to become globally competitive professionals.
In his welcome remarks, Roño underscored Magsaysay’s evolving role in addressing the growing demand for skilled professionals across various industries, both locally and globally.
Since 2024, the partnership among Magsaysay, RNDV Holding, and INTORA has supported to address the workforce needs of various industries in Lithuania, reflecting the partners’ shared commitment to strengthening workforce collaboration and expand opportunities for Filipino skilled workers.
A highlight of the visit was the tour of the Magsaysay Learning’s training facilities, where delegates observed ongoing training in scaffolding, welding, electrical, and assessment programs.
