Magsaysay Shipping and Logistics (MSL) marked a significant milestone on April 28, 2026, as employees across its offices, warehouses, sites, and vessels came together to celebrate MSL Safety Day 2026. The even transformed MSL offices into vibrant spaces of engagement, reflection, and one powerful message: our commitment to safety brings everyone home.
Anchored on the theme, “Make It Safe, Make It Home: Building a Healthy Psychosocial Work Environment for Everyone”, the Safety Day celebration was a powerful reminder that safety is not just a system, a checklist, or a policy. It is personal.
The major highlight of the event was the official premiere of MSL’s safety video, “Make It Safe, Make It Home”, which brings together stories from The One Who Sails, The One Who Waits, and The One Who Cares. An anthology of life at sea, selfless sacrifice, unwavering love, and genuine care that prioritizes always bringing its people back home, the video brought everyone back to the ones that matter most: the people behind every operation, and the ones they do everything for.
MSL President and CEO Jesse H. Maxwell captured it best in his inspirational message: “Every vessel that sails, every truck that delivers, every warehouse that operates, behind all of that are people—people with families, people who trust that when they come to work, they will go home safe.”
And so, the program flowed to one of its strongest highlights: a collective pledge to safety. MSL MPs across land-based and sea-based operations stood together to renew their commitment to protect one another, speak up, and create workplaces where everyone feels safe, heard, and respected.
Three key initiatives were also reinforced and brought into focus: “I Care” Stop Work Authority (ISWA), which encourages everyone to speak up; the Safety Pyramid, which highlights stopping incidents before they happen; and Magsaysay Safety Milestone (MSMILE), which celebrates safe behaviors and everyday wins.
The Safety Day 2026 served as a meaningful reminder of MSL’s enduring commitment to building a workplace culture where safety, care, and respect remain at the heart of every operation.
Make it safe. Make it home.
