What began as an annual gathering of crew members, families, shipowners, ship managers, and manning representatives became a meaningful celebration of loyalty, dedication, and years of committed service. More than a convention, the event served as a valuable platform for recognizing the people behind safe and efficient maritime operations while creating space for important industry conversations.
On April 6, Magsaysay Maritime Corporation, together with MC Shipping and its partners, proudly honored crew members for their outstanding years of service during a recognition ceremony held at Sheraton Manila Bay. Awardees received special service tokens from MC Shipping in recognition of their loyalty and contribution to the fleet’s continued success.
Leaders from MC Shipping and Magsaysay conveyed their sincere appreciation to both crew members and their families, acknowledging their sacrifices, steadfast support, and long-standing commitment to the company. Their stories of dedication served as an inspiration to fellow seafarers and officers who attended the annual Crew and Officers Seminar the following day.
The seminar featured a day of meaningful and highly engaging discussions on timely topics shaping today’s maritime landscape. Key sessions covered RightShip and Port State Control (PSC) inspections, onboard safety culture, and anti-bribery policies, reinforcing the importance of compliance, operational excellence, and the protection of seafarers from abusive port practices.
Participants likewise shared strong interest in continuing these open discussions in future sessions, particularly on topics that support safer and smoother shipboard operations.
The event reaffirmed MAGSAYSAY’s continuing commitment to crew engagement, professional development, and the recognition of the people who keep the maritime industry moving.
