Magsaysay Global Services, Inc. (MGSI) reaffirmed its commitment to ethical recruitment and the protection of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) through its participation in the three-day Capability Enhancement Training for Welfare Coordinators and Employers’ Forum, held from January 21 to 23, 2026 in Budapest, Hungary.

MGSI General Manager for European Accounts Alvin Gonzales attended and served as event host, facilitating discussions and supporting dialogue among employers, government officials, and partner organizations. His participation highlighted MGSI’s strong advocacy for responsible recruitment, employer compliance, and sustainable overseas employment partnerships in Europe.

The program was organized by the Philippine Association of Service Exporters, Inc. (PASEI) together with the Association for Central European Employment for Overseas Filipino Workers (ACE), in close coordination with the Philippine Embassy in Hungary, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), and the Migrant Workers Office–Budapest (MWO).

The first two days focused on capacity-building for Filipino and Hungarian welfare coordinators, strengthening their understanding of labor migration governance, worker welfare systems, legal remedies, and proper handling of Requests for Assistance (RFAs). The sessions emphasized a whole-of-government and shared responsibility approach, highlighting the roles of employers, recruitment agencies, and government institutions in safeguarding OFW welfare.

The third day featured the Employer’s Forum, which brought together company owners and senior executives to discuss employer compliance, worker retention, and risk prevention. Topics included key responsibilities under DMW rules, proper case management, and strategies to strengthen employer–worker relations.

Key resource persons included senior officials from the Philippine Embassy, the Department of Migrant Workers, and MWO–Budapest, as well as legal experts and industry leaders from both the Philippine and Hungarian sides.

MGSI continues to work closely with government partners, employers, and international stakeholders to promote fair, safe, and transparent employment opportunities for Filipino workers overseas.
