Last November 17–18, the Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MIHCA), through its Magsaysay Professional Training and Languages (MagPro) Program, and the MOL Magsaysay Maritime Academy (MMMA) welcomed a media delegation from NHK, Japan’s national public broadcaster, for an in-depth feature on its training environment and industry-aligned learning approach.
The NHK team interviewed students, staff, and executives to understand Magsaysay’s commitment to developing globally competent professionals and the real-world training that supports their success.
Representatives from partner organizations also joined the visit.
The visit highlighted how the MagPro program and MMMA provide practical, hands-on training that prepares students for global careers. Through these programs, students gain valuable technical skills while building confidence, professionalism, and readiness for the demands of the international workforce.
