Magsaysay Maritime Corporation (MMC) has reaffirmed its strong commitment to data confidentiality, integrity, and availability by implementing initiatives aligned with the ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) framework.
On November 3, MMC launched a series of ISMS awareness townhalls led by MMC President Arnold Javier as part of the company’s proactive approach to information security. The sessions aim to ensure that all employees are well-informed about MMC’s ISMS policies and fully understand their critical roles in maintaining compliance and safeguarding information across all business operations.
The first session provided an open platform for employees to raise questions, share insights, and clarify details regarding the company’s information security practices. This engagement underscores MMC’s belief that fostering awareness and accountability among its workforce is essential to maintaining a robust and secure information management environment.
Additional sessions were conducted in the afternoon of November 3 and in both the morning and afternoon of November 4 to ensure that all MMC employees were reached and to reinforce the company’s collective responsibility in upholding the highest standards of information security.
